Mark Tran Russ

Mark was born in the heart of Manhattan and grew up a train ride away on Long Island. The son of an Asian-immigrant mother and Brooklyn-born father, he was exposed to a wide range of activities at a young age, from playing every sport imaginable to weekend Chinese classes. But it was the music-based activities that evoked the most passion - playing the piano and French horn, dancing, and singing on stage. At the age of 12, he performed as Javert in a production of LES MISERABLES and knew then that musical theater was his path.

He has performed non-stop since at professional venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Muny. He graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University in May and is now fully dedicated to applying his skills to his passion full-time.
